presented by CLASS 'C' ENTERTAINMENT
Class 'C' Entertainment was founded to create a variety of entertainment events for a previously under-served GLBT audience. Our goal has been to provide a classy alternative to the mainstream amusement outlets among our peers. In this instance, we introduce "Dinner & A Movie". For the past 6 years, we have held this event in Chicago's suburbs as a short 'getaway'. Our first event was November 2004 for about 45 women and each year our attendance has grown.
This year, New Year's Eve 2011 "Dinner & A Movie" is sponsored by The African American Coalition for Chicago's LGBT Community (AAC). Comprising of Pat McCombs, Vera Washington, Tarrina Dikes, C.C. Carter, to name a few, as they continue to endorse our event with their support.
We offer great food; a collection of short films relating to lesbian of color experiences written, produced and directed by several of the nation's lesbian of color filmmakers; a dance party for a few hundred women who love women exclusively; Relationship Expert Anita Charlot discussing "Women Coming Together - A New Year, New Beginnings"; a comedy show featuring Famous Lesbian Comic "Karen Williams" with special guest comedienne "Dana Austin" hosted by C.C. Carter, and sponsored by the International Institute of Humor and Healing Arts (HaHA Institute); the Capricorn Bash also hosted by 'Pat & Vera' with music by SUNDANCE, Chicago's tightest female DJ (formerly with V-103).
So, if you want variety and more than just a party for New Year's Eve, join us and bring in 2011 the Class 'C' way. You can have a great time AND relax without leaving the comfort of the hotel. Its a good time to be had in a FULL, fun-filled, WEEKEND celebrating the new year to come.
